Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to be part of the Product Technology and Engineering team. You will work on the technical design, development, and maintenance of applications and systems using existing and emerging technology platforms. The role involves delivering functionality, documentation, unit test cases, and integration tests as part of a fully Agile DevOps team.

What You’ll Do

• Technical Direction:
  Grasp the technical direction of the product and collaborate with your team to provide assistance and support.

• Follow Coding Guidelines:
  Adhere to existing coding guidelines and technical processes, while providing feedback for improvements.

• System Architecture Alignment:
  Understand how our software fits into the wider architecture of the solution and assist in the analysis of requirements for new application features.

• Agile Development:
  Participate in the Agile development lifecycle, delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

• Continuous Learning:
  Stay updated with new technologies and integrate them into the development process.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Leadership:
  Proven experience as a Senior Developer in fast-paced, agile environments, with leadership capabilities.

• Software Architecture:
  Proficient in planning and implementing software architecture, adhering to existing frameworks.

• Java Expertise:
  Skilled in Java, especially within Microservices, and familiar with SOA principles (XML Web Services, SOAP, REST).

• Object-Oriented Design:
  Experience in object-oriented code design and working with relational databases from Java.

• API Integration:
  Capable of integrating API specifications into software functionality.

• Spring & Spring Boot:
  Proficient in Spring and Spring Boot.

• Full-Stack Development:
  Experience with full-stack development (e.g., Angular, Apache Webserver, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server).

• Version Control:
  Knowledge of GIT for version control and source code management.

• Networking & Application Design:
  Versed in networking concepts and application design principles.

• Team Coordination:
  Adaptable team player, able to lead estimation processes and coordinate technical workstreams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Angular.

• Experience with MS SQL Server, MongoDB, and MariaDB.
