Role Overview

As a Data Analytics Analyst at Goldman Sachs, you will work with senior leaders to derive actionable insights from large datasets. Your role will involve building automation infrastructure for reporting initiatives, identifying business trends, and finding opportunities to drive efficiencies in business processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining the team’s analytics engines and supporting global initiatives to streamline business-critical projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Build scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support analytical and business needs.

• Progress Tracking: Track and report progress on projects, ensuring adherence to the solution delivery lifecycle.

• Collaboration: Work with other solution experts and advisors to share ideas and code.

• Data Management: Source and process large data sets from multiple sources (APIs, files, databases), transform and normalize the data, and design dimensional data models.

• Reporting: Generate, distribute, and analyze business performance reports for management.

• Global Initiatives: Play a key role in driving and streamlining global business-critical projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in any discipline.

• Tools & Technologies: Knowledge of data transformation and reporting tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, and others.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large data sets and present findings in a clear and compelling way.

• MS Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Prioritization Skills: Ability to manage workload and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.

• Asset & Wealth Management Knowledge: A basic understanding of the asset and wealth management business is a plus.

Skills & Experience

• Experience: 1+ years in data analytics, preferably in the financial services industry.

• ETL Development: Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and working with SQL queries in relational database platforms.

• Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.

• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of tasks.

• Self-Starter: Inquisitive and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach.

• Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through with tasks.

• Positive Attitude: Strong work ethic and a positive approach to challenges.
