Job Description

As a Credit Risk Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in defining and obtaining source data, creating methods for reporting data inconsistencies, and assisting in the coordination of data migration. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure the successful delivery of insights and data-driven solutions, especially related to Credit Risk in banking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management:

    • Define and obtain source data required to deliver insights and use cases.

    • Map and join multiple data sets from various sources.

    • Develop methods to identify and report data inconsistencies for feedback and review.

  • Data Migration:

    • Propose data migration sets and assist relevant stakeholders.

    • Assist in planning, tracking, and coordinating the data migration team.

    • Manage the migration run-book and determine scope for each customer.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Use advanced programming languages (e.g., Python, Pyspark, SQL) to analyze and process data.

    • Apply advanced analytics techniques to banking data to generate insights.

    • Conduct root cause assessments and recommend remediation for issues faced by Risk and Wholesale businesses.

  • Risk Management & Technology Architecture:

    • Apply business and data design principles, risk management, and technology architecture when working with delivery partners.

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of Credit Risk Frameworks (e.g., Basel II, Basel III, IFRS 9, Stress Testing).

  • Tools & Visualization:

    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik Sense is beneficial.

  • Domain Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of Credit Risk in both Retail Credit and Traded Credit is preferred.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Credit Risk Data Analyst role, with a focus on Credit & Lending in Wholesale Banking.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong hands-on experience with Python, Pyspark, and SQL.

    • Experience applying advanced analytics techniques to banking data for insight generation.

  • Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with Credit Risk Frameworks (Basel II, Basel III, IFRS 9, Stress Testing).

    • Understanding of data migration processes and data analysis in the banking context.

  • Tools:

    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense) is an advantage.

  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.

    • Ability to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to drive data migration and analytics projects.
