Role Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver analytical and decision-making services to Vodafone’s businesses globally. The role involves working with the EBU, CBU, or Finance teams within the OpCo and Vodafone Shared Services in India.

You will work on assigned projects, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business challenges. Using expertise in Customer Value Management (CVM) and Data Analysis, you will provide structured, data-backed insights to drive bottom-line impact for the business. This role requires an innovation-led approach, leveraging evolving analytical techniques and technologies.

Key Responsibilities & Decision Ownership

• Analyze large, complex datasets representing the behavior of millions of users to address strategic and operational business questions.

• Distil and communicate key insights across all levels of the organization.

• Leverage previously created data models, insights, and analyses from across the Vodafone business to drive positive business outcomes.

• Understand business requirements and advise the best way to fulfill these with available data and tools.

• Drive efficiencies in how analytical services are delivered, through automation and standardization of delivery processes.

• Provide an exceptional experience to business stakeholders while managing clear expectations.

Technical & Professional Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with analytical tools – Python, SQL, R, and knowledge of basic statistical techniques.

• Adequate exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, and SAS Visual Analytics.

• Expertise in data manipulation and analysis techniques, especially with large datasets (millions of rows) containing both structured and unstructured data.

• Experience in Consulting or CVM/U&R is desirable.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

• Master’s degree in Business Analytics or MBA from a premier B-school.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Analytics or Business Insight/Descriptive Analytics.

• Experience in presenting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and flexibility in approach.

• Telecom industry experience would be a distinct advantage.

Key Performance Indicators

• Development of analytical solutions models (Proof of concepts, Proofs of value, Automated models).

• Creation of reusable, defined analytical products (including documentation and, when appropriate, training).

• Visualization of results and presentation of outputs to stakeholders.
