Overview:

This position will serve as the Tax Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the PGCS India Business. The role is integral in driving growth through strategic initiatives and close partnerships with PGCS's cross-functional and sector teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taxation and Compliance Leadership:

  • Lead the taxation, compliance, and importation activities related to the construction of the new concentrate manufacturing plant.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on tax treatment, compliance, and incentives.

  • Support the resolution of taxation-related queries.

• GST and Tax Requirements:

  • Take a lead role in local GST and tax requirements, ensuring full compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

• Custom Trade Inputs:

  • Lead custom trade inputs for BCP workstreams by collaborating with supply chain and operations functional leads.

• Intercompany Entries:

  • Engage with Singapore and Cork finance teams to manage intercompany branch entries.

  • Lead discussions around intercompany profit eliminations.

• Global Control Standards (GCS) Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to Global Control Standards (GCS) throughout the entire process.

  • Work with Process Owners to prepare Process Flows and identify risks for new or changed processes.

  • Develop a remediation plan for failed controls and deliver GCS training.

• Collaboration with Leadership:

  • Organize quarterly GCS reviews with the Plant Leadership Teams to assess performance.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

• Education & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.

  • Degree in Business or Accounting.

  • 6+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of taxation and control environments.

  • In-depth technical accounting knowledge.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Influencing skills to balance business needs while maintaining robust controls.

• Problem-Solving & Adaptability:

  • Proven ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Leadership & Strategic Focus:

  • Experience leading project teams, including planning and team leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to set the agenda and drive strategic initiatives.
