About the Role

The ICG Risk Analysis Unit (IRAU) is a critical part of the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) organization. IRAUs support the wholesale lending business by providing expert credit risk analysis, monitoring, and administration.

In this position, you will be responsible for a portfolio of Transportation & Industrials sector relationships, performing risk assessments and supporting the team in maintaining the safety and soundness of Citi’s credit exposure in this sector.

Reporting to: ICG Risk Analysis Transportation & Industrials Team Lead / Portfolio Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental credit and financial analysis of Citi’s counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

  • Produce credit analysis memos and finalize obligor risk ratings for counterparties.

  • Continuously monitor the assigned portfolio for industry trends, key relationship impacts, and potential credit issues.

  • Partner with regional and industry stakeholders in BCMA and Independent Risk for consistent credit assessment and monitoring standards.

  • Support initiatives under ICG Risk Analysis Voice of the Employee (VOE) programs.

  • Travel requirement: Less than 10%.


Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).

Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Strong fundamental analytical skills, including understanding of financial ratios, liquidity, and leverage.

  • Basic knowledge of financial statements, GAAP or local accounting standards.

  • Understanding of industry dynamics, risks, and drivers, especially within Transportation & Industrials.

  • Familiarity with Credit Policy and Risk procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication, able to present to various stakeholders clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, even without direct authority.

  • Good organizational and time-management capabilities under pressure.

  • Team player with a proactive attitude towards collaboration and performance improvement.
