Role Overview

This is a highly visible and integral position within the Global Supplier Partnerships (GSP) team. GSP is responsible for growing revenue through strategic partnerships with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and global distribution systems (GDS).

Within GSP, the Global Revenue Management (GRM) team provides insights into supplier performance and supports global negotiations to maximize revenue for Amex GBT and its partners.

We are seeking a forward-thinking Optimization Associate with a strong analytical mindset, commercial acumen, and proven strategic thinking to join our team.

What You'll Do

• Set Up & Manage Data Audits: Establish supplier data audit processes and monitor key deal performance to support improved revenue outcomes.

• Strategic Analytics & Reporting: Deliver performance analytics and insights to support supplier deal negotiations and revenue strategy.

• Model Deal Structures: Partner with supplier relationship owners to evaluate and structure preferred supplier agreements.

• Performance Tracking: Roll out reporting for strategic deals and develop optimization plans across EMEA, North America, and JAPA markets.

• Forecasting & Risk Assessment: Support forecasting by translating performance models into Amex GBT revenue expectations; evaluate revenue risks and opportunities during client bids.

• Business Integration: Drive alignment of supplier deal structures with competitive content to ensure revenue optimization.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to present insights and guide decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate with 5–8 years of experience, preferably in an analytical or strategy-oriented role.

• A growth mindset and strong analytical thinking combined with commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

• Capable of diving deep into data while understanding the larger business strategy.

• Strong communication skills — ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership teams.

• Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL and Power BI are a strong plus.

• A numerate educational background (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Business, etc.).

• Willingness to travel as required.
