As an Aerospace Field Service Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for all customer-related technical issues, providing on-site and remote support for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of jet engines. Working within a 24/7 support team, you will offer expert interpretation of OEM data, ensure timely communication with internal teams, and help customers implement proactive maintenance strategies.
Your goal: prevent the next event by managing the technical program plan, building trusted relationships, and driving customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary GE on-site or mobile technical representative for assigned jet engine product lines
Provide leadership and technical direction during aircraft entry into service and throughout operational life
Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair jet engines, ensuring compliance with OEM standards
Lead the technical program plan for supported engine models including CI, AD, and SB updates
Analyze engine data trends and recommend proactive maintenance actions
Support Six Sigma / LEAN initiatives for procedural and reliability improvement
Serve as a single point of contact for customers and GE stakeholders
Build influential, trust-based relationships with all levels of the customer’s organization
Support spare part provisioning and resolution of logistical issues
Assist with customer negotiations and interface with CSM, CPM, and SD teams
Facilitate factory data collection and reporting for fleet performance analysis
Identify and communicate service and sales opportunities based on customer insights
Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering discipline OR High School Diploma/GED (with aerospace background)
Minimum 5–6 years of experience in Aerospace Engineering or Airline Operational Support
Willingness and ability to travel as required
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
Experience in jet engine repair, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in analytical tools and LEAN/6 Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Capable of making formal presentations and influencing both peers and customers
Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills
