Job Description:

About the Business:
Our client is engaged in trading equity markets through automated systems and mathematical models. They continuously identify trading strategies based on past patterns in market behavior and execute these strategies over a fully automated trading system.

What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer who is excited to design new in-house algorithms. The individual should be motivated, keen to learn, show a high level of initiative, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Prior experience in algorithmic trading is helpful.

Experience / Skill Set Required:

• Proficiency in any programming language, preferably C / C++.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with good quantitative and analytical reasoning skills.

• Proficiency in Data Structures (specifically with Arrays & Lists) and Algorithms.

• Excellent debugging skills with complex code and large data sets.

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Computing, or equivalent is preferred.

• Exposure to object-oriented programming using languages like C++ (or others) is a plus.

• Knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.

• Prior experience with AmiBroker's AFL programming language is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Linux, Git, and AWS is a plus.

• Strong communication skills in English or Hindi.

• Fresh Graduates with strong programming experience in academic projects are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Work with large data sets to identify predictable patterns in the data.

• Identify new models through research, books, internet, and networking.

• Test these patterns using historical data on testing software.

• Implement and test these models in real markets.

• Maintain and update these models in line with changing market dynamics.
