Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering Activities:

  • Responsible for design and engineering activities related to Cement and Steel Structures.
  • Provide inputs to related civil works.

• Preparation & Execution of Engineering Standards:

  • Prepare and implement design basis, standards, specifications, and guidelines for civil/structural engineering tasks for projects and operational work.

• Feed Data & Material Specifications:

  • Handle feed data for detailed design, internal layout, levels, and elevations.
  • Select materials for construction.

• Review & Monitor Drawings:

  • Review and check production drawings and design for fabricated and welded structures.
  • Ensure that designs meet safety, quality, and reliability standards.

• Collaboration with Project Teams:

  • Coordinate with project and operation teams, as well as detailed design specialists, to ensure project requirements are met.

• Load Data Preparation & Structural Analysis:

  • Prepare load data list and estimate loads.
  • Use design software to analyze and design RCC and steel structures.

• Proposal Evaluation:

  • Evaluate quantities for proposal assessments and FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) engineering.

• Constructability & Safety Assessment:

  • Apply knowledge of constructability, construction sequence, and safety hazards in the design/drawing process.
  • Ensure all designs comply with legal and regulatory standards.

• Design Optimization & Solution Proposals:

  • Propose practical solutions to optimize designs.
  • Review and check the sufficiency of existing designs and plans for safety and reliability.

• Project Monitoring & Coordination:

  • Oversee project progress, focusing on completion timelines and cost control.
  • Provide guidance to the team and support the transfer of knowledge and technology for smooth project execution.

• Structural Safety Analysis:

  • Perform dynamic analysis for structures (including wind and seismic analysis) based on relevant codes, regulations, and AMS.
  • Support the team in conducting structural safety assessments and retrofitting work.

• Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:

  • Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, project teams, and design specialists to meet project-specific needs and timelines.

• Promote Safety Culture:

  • Promote a "safety first" attitude and ensure zero safety incidents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

• Years of Experience: 2 to 8 years in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Educational Qualification:

• Degree: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Technical Expertise:

• Software Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in STAAD.Pro is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of SAFE, RISA, ETAB, or SAP2000 is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software like SP3D, SPR, PDS, PDMS, or Tekla is desirable.

• Design Standards Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant IS/BSEN/American Codes and equivalent design codes.
  • Experience working with reputed detailed design consultants, or significant hands-on experience with well-known design professionals.

• Structural Design Skills:

  • Expertise in structural analysis, design, and detailing of various types of RCC and steel structures, including plants, equipment foundations, piperacks, supports, water holding structures, process structures, and other cement and steel structures, as per the latest design codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with composite structures and primary connection designs.
