???? Role Overview

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engineering solutions that delight customers and drive business value. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality, outcome-focused CI/CD and automation solutions. This role requires deep proficiency across multiple programming languages, DevSecOps tools, and modern frameworks. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions.

???? Key Responsibilities

1. Outcome-Driven Accountability

• Drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes.

• Develop DevSecOps solutions that solve complex automation problems with valuable outcomes, ensuring high-quality and resilient pipelines.

2. Technical Leadership and Advocacy

• Advocate for modern DevSecOps practices, ensuring integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business goals, security practices, and automation/integration.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, environments, and integrations (code quality, security, etc.) through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

3. Engineering Craftsmanship

• Lead the design of DevSecOps pipelines and deployment techniques (Blue-Green, Canary) to minimize downtime and enable A/B testing.

• Troubleshoot production issues and engage with engineers to ensure implementation of DevSecOps best practices.

4. Customer-Centric Engineering

• Develop scalable and flexible DevSecOps automations to solve customer needs and enhance delivery, security, and version control.

• Collaborate with customers and product teams to implement the right automation and security practices.

5. Incremental and Iterative Delivery

• Adopt a practical approach to deliver lean and maintainable solutions while navigating complexity and uncertainty.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration

• Work collaboratively with product management, engineering, delivery, infrastructure, and security teams.

• Make well-informed decisions that balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value.

7. Advanced Technical Proficiency

• Demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

• Strive to optimize solutioning and delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes with minimal waste.

8. Domain Expertise

• Quickly acquire domain-specific knowledge and translate business/user needs into technical requirements and automations.

9. Effective Communication and Influence

• Exhibit excellent communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts.

• Present solutions with well-structured arguments, supported by evaluations and research.

10. Engagement and Collaborative Co-Creation

• Engage with product engineering teams, building strong relationships to foster co-creation and drive product goals.

???? Key Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (Advanced degree preferred).

• Software Engineering: Deep understanding of OOP/OOD, functional programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, and Golang (preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise) and Git (version control, branching, merging, pull requests).

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with security tools automation (SAST/DAST), monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana), and cloud-native tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM).

  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-native services such as Data Lakes, CDN, API Gateways, Managed PaaS, Security, etc.

Preferred Skills

• AI/ML & GenAI knowledge preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud provider security practices and database technologies (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Aurora).

• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and load balancers.
