Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive the development of cutting-edge products. This role requires strong technological leadership and a proven track record of managing multiple products and teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

   • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering department.
   • Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions aligned with business goals.

2. Team Leadership

   • Lead and mentor a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
   • Drive the development and implementation of the technology roadmap.

3. Technical Expertise

   • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance microservices and transaction-heavy systems.
   • Leverage cloud platforms, particularly AWS, to enhance infrastructure scalability and reliability.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

   • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the overall engineering strategy and vision.
   • Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

5. Customer Engagement

   • Engage with large enterprise clients in a B2B environment, addressing their unique requirements and delivering value-added solutions.

6. Industry Insight

   • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
   • Apply insights to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Experience:

  • 18+ years of progressive experience in software engineering.
  • At least 10 years in leadership roles managing multiple product development teams.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and high-transaction systems.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, including infrastructure scaling and deployment.

• Skills:

  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, aligning technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and drive innovation.

• Preferred Experience:

  • Working with large enterprise clients in a B2B environment.
