Job Summary

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive and high-performing web applications. You should have a strong background in PHP, WordPress, and front-end development, as well as a problem-solving mindset for web development challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications with a focus on front-end performance and user experience.

• Translate UI/UX design mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, responsive web interfaces.

• Work with PHP and WordPress to build and optimize web pages, themes, and plugins.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design wireframes into responsive, interactive web interfaces.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application functionality and performance.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in front-end development.

• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and optimize web application performance.

Job Requirements

Education and Certifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Frontend Development Bootcamp or Specialized Training Program is a plus.

• Certifications in PHP, WordPress, JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), or front-end technologies are a plus.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in front-end web development.

• Proven experience working with PHP, WordPress, and front-end technologies.

• Experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins.

• Prior experience troubleshooting and optimizing web performance, accessibility, and security.

• Knowledge of SEO best practices related to front-end development.

• Experience working in a collaborative development environment using Git and other version control tools.

• Familiarity with backend development concepts for better integration with APIs.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.

• Experience with responsive and mobile-first web development.

• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and debugging.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

• A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with new front-end trends and technologies.

Schedule Requirements

• Ability to work night shifts during Eastern Time, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, including Holidays.

Technical Requirements

• Reliable wired internet connection (100 Mbps minimum).

• Computer/laptop with Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM minimum, and 128GB free storage.

• Dual-screen setup preferred for enhanced productivity.

• Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS (latest version).

• Clear webcam (720p or higher) and microphone for communication.

• Backup systems for electricity and internet outages.
