Job Description

As a Lead/Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving high-impact, high-visibility projects from start to finish. You will work with technologies like PHP, MySQL, memcache, varnish, and other open-source technologies to build highly scalable enterprise-class applications. You will lead other engineers, design key features, and implement innovative technologies and concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design and development of new features for our enterprise systems.

• Implement highly scalable systems to support growth and demand.

• Research, prototype, and implement new technologies and concepts.

• Work closely with senior management to align product goals with company strategy.

• Lead or mentor other engineers and ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

• Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver projects and ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in E-Commerce/consumer internet technologies using PHP, MySQL, Apache/Nginx, memcache, Redis, Solr, Varnish, and other open-source technologies.

• Technical Expertise: At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with jQuery, Core PHP, advanced JavaScript, AJAX, XML, and Web Services.

• Database Skills: Strong experience with MySQL, including writing and optimizing SQL for high-performance systems with large databases.

• Project Management: Proven ability to manage medium to large projects, delivering them on time and with high quality.

• Passion for Technology: Deep passion for staying updated with innovations in web technologies.

• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to conceptualize complex systems and deliver detailed solutions.

• Software Development Process: In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle with experience in Agile or Extreme Programming methodologies.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.

• Ownership & Result-Oriented: Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results with a strong work ethic.

• Educational Background: Engineering Degree in Computer Science or Information Technologies from a Top Tier engineering institute (India, USA, or UK).
