We are looking for an experienced and passionate Math and Quantitative Reasoning Teacher to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This role focuses on preparing high school students for SAT Math and Advanced Placement (AP) exams, including AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, and other related quantitative subjects. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate both the teacher’s and students’ needs, with all instruction delivered online.
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons focused on SAT Math and AP-level quantitative subjects (e.g., Calculus, Statistics).
Assess students' strengths and weaknesses and create tailored lesson plans to maximize their test performance.
Teach core concepts like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and data analysis, along with problem-solving strategies and test-taking techniques.
Utilize online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom) for interactive sessions.
Assign and review practice problems, mock tests, and homework to track student progress.
Offer constructive feedback and guidance to help students build confidence and achieve their target scores.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and individual student needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience teaching Math and/or Quantitative Reasoning for SAT and AP exams.
Strong understanding of SAT Math structure and AP curricula (e.g., Calculus AB/BC, Statistics).
Proficiency with online teaching tools and technology (e.g., video conferencing, digital whiteboards).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote teaching.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
Prior tutoring or teaching experience in a remote or hybrid environment.
Familiarity with SAT and AP scoring rubrics and test formats.
Experience with educational software or platforms like Khan Academy, Desmos, or similar tools.
Part-time position with flexible hours (approximately 5-25 hours per week, depending on availability).
Schedule to be coordinated with the teacher and students' needs, including evenings or weekends if preferred.
