Role Overview

Meta is expanding its global network infrastructure to support its fast-growing user community and the deployment of cutting-edge products and services. We are looking for a Network Implementation Engineer (formerly known as Fiber Delivery Engineer) to join our Network Infrastructure team in APAC, with a focus on network delivery in India. In this role, you will manage fiber delivery milestones, work with internal teams and external partners, and ensure timely, high-quality deployment of Meta’s backbone infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of fiber infrastructure suppliers to ensure project transparency and effective information flow.

• Oversee fiber acceptance testing and validation of performance characteristics.

• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and conduct supplier business reviews to evaluate and improve performance.

• Report on key project metrics: on-time delivery, vendor performance, activated services, and financial metrics.

• Assist Network Development Managers in incorporating technical requirements during the contract planning stage.

• Stay updated on the telecom wholesale market to ensure Meta's competitive positioning.

• Align fiber deployment schedules with acceptance processes across teams.

• Work with disparate data sources to correlate and structure datasets for integration across platforms.

• Identify internal system and workflow improvements and define requirements for enhancements.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in fiber network deployment projects.

• Strong experience in terrestrial fiber network design and technology.

• Project Management certification or hands-on expertise in project management tools/methods.

• Understanding of fiber specifications, OTDR trace interpretation, and handover documentation.

• Proven experience working with network vendors in India for design, planning, and deployment.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams.

• Proficiency in data tools and structuring complex datasets.

• Willingness and ability to travel 25% domestically/internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, SQL, networking software, frameworks, or APIs.

• Knowledge of long-haul and metro fiber networks.

• Track record of delivering large-scale fiber deals (multi-pair projects).

• Familiarity with permitting and regulatory environments across the APAC region.

• Understanding of subsea fiber systems and technologies.

• Ability to communicate in one or more regional business languages.
