Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Online IGCSE Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science examination. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity, ideal for educators with a strong background in programming, algorithms, systems, and computational thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver live online lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus.

• Teach topics such as:

  • Programming (Python/Java)

  • Algorithms

  • Data representation

  • Networks

  • Computer systems

• Use a variety of digital tools to create interactive and effective learning experiences.

• Provide exam-focused support, including past paper practice, revision sessions, and progress tracking.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback to students and/or parents.

• Maintain clear communication and flexible scheduling with students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, with at least 1 year teaching IGCSE Computer Science.

• Strong programming knowledge (preferably Python).

• Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus (0478 or 0984).

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• Proficiency in using online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

• Reliable internet connection and digital teaching setup.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PGCE, B.Ed., or other recognized teaching certifications.

• Experience with online education and working with international students.

• Knowledge of exam marking schemes and assessment criteria.

Job Type and Compensation:

• Type: Freelance / Part-Time

• Schedule: Flexible, based on student availability

• Rate: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
