Full job description

Job Title: Primary School Mathematics Teacher
Location: The Rosary School, Viman Nagar

We are looking for candidates to deliver engaging, age-appropriate mathematics lessons to primary school students (Std 1 to 4), fostering a love for numbers and building a strong foundation in mathematical thinking and problem-solving. The teacher will be responsible for implementing the CBSE curriculum effectively, using innovative teaching strategies to ensure conceptual clarity and real-world application of mathematical concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

-Plan and deliver daily mathematics lessons aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.

-Use creative and hands-on teaching methods to make maths fun, relevant, and understandable.

-Design and conduct formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

-Provide individual support to students as needed to strengthen foundational concepts.

-Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages questioning and curiosity.

-Integrate maths with real-life examples and cross-curricular themes.

-Use educational aids, tools, and technology (where appropriate) to enhance learning.

-Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.

-Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs and through regular updates.

-Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary activities and events.

-Participate in school-wide events, workshops, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

-Bachelor's Degree (preferably with Mathematics or Education specialization).

-B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is a bonus.

-Minimum 1–3 years of experience teaching maths at the primary level (freshers with training will also be condidered).

-Strong understanding of age-appropriate pedagogies in mathematics.

-Familiarity with CBSE/State Board curriculum

Preferred Skills:
-Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

-Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.

-Comfort with using visual aids and digital tools

-Passion for early childhood development and math literacy.

-Team spirit and willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
