Role Overview

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to strengthen our next-generation Risk Platform. This is a high-impact role where you will architect innovative solutions, enhance observability, and lead by example in coding best practices.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Architect and implement scalable and innovative solutions for complex systems
✔ Enable teams to drive business growth and build future-ready technology platforms
✔ Improve observability of production services to enhance performance monitoring
✔ Lead by example with high coding standards, best practices, and security focus
✔ Mentor and guide engineers while fostering a collaborative learning environment
✔ Engage with teams across GoDaddy to advocate for modern and effective tech stacks

Required Experience & Skills

???? 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in large-scale applications
???? 5+ years of expertise in Java and multiple programming languages
???? Strong understanding of system architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems
???? Experience building fault-tolerant systems (observability, operational excellence)
???? Hands-on experience with:
    ✅ Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    ✅ CI/CD pipelines, Git, Testing
    ✅ Streaming technologies (Kinesis, Kafka, etc.)
    ✅ Relational & NoSQL databases
    ✅ Docker/Kubernetes
???? Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

✅ Experience with frontend technologies
✅ Background in Risk and Fraud Prevention
