Role Overview

The Production and Quality Engineer – PMG is responsible for overseeing all stages of the customer's product development and production process. This role acts as a liaison between customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, manufacturing processes, and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

???? Product Development & Production Coordination

✔ Oversee the development and launch of products into production.
✔ Act as the primary contact between the customer and supplier company.
✔ Ensure seamless transition from design to production through collaboration with process engineers.
✔ Implement engineering changes to improve manufacturability.
✔ Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis to assess feasibility.

???? Quality Assurance & Supplier Management

✔ Perform supplier audits, identify improvements, and conduct quality enhancement activities.
✔ Define initial quality objectives, create a quality management strategy, and ensure compliance.
✔ Oversee prototype development and production processes, ensuring customer requirements are met.
✔ Monitor mass production orders, ensuring quality control at each stage.
✔ Develop and track risk assessments based on FMEA, special characteristics, and tolerance stacks.
✔ Hold authority to halt production in case of serious non-compliance.

???? Compliance & Documentation

✔ Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and traceability.
✔ Prepare and compile PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) files.
✔ Support the supplier’s quality engineer in sending initial samples and conducting process audits.
✔ Advocate for the FCS quality management system, ensuring timely corrective actions.
✔ Participate in supplier validation processes using 8D methodology.


Qualifications & Skills

???? Education & Experience
Higher technical education in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automotive sector.
✔ Strong knowledge of quality standards, documentation, and manufacturing processes.

???? Technical Skills
✔ Expertise in metal post-processing techniques.
✔ Understanding of mechanical properties of metals, plastics, and composites.
✔ Familiarity with FMEA, PPM, tolerance stacks, and engineering change management.

???? Soft Skills
✔ High written and conversational English proficiency.
✔ Ability to work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
