Role Overview

We are seeking a Quality Engineer (Furniture) with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong process audit experience, and a background in manufacturing or warehousing environments. This role involves collaborating with global teams, including factories in China and Brazil and warehouses in the USA, to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product and process defects.

Key Responsibilities

???? Product & Manufacturing Quality:

• Identify product defects and damage sources in the manufacturing process.

• Work remotely with factories in China and Brazil to resolve defects.

• Occasionally travel to factories as required to implement solutions.

???? Warehousing Process Oversight:

• Identify and resolve product damage issues in U.S.-based warehouse processes.

• Collaborate remotely with warehouse teams to maintain product quality.

???? Process Innovation & Improvement:

• Innovate and refine testing and inspection processes using statistically valid methods.

• Monitor factory outputs and ensure pre-launch, production, and post-production quality standards.

• Reduce defects through continuous iteration and improvement of quality control processes.

???? Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with:

  • Customer Service: to understand customer complaints and installation issues.

  • Analytics Team: to find data-driven insights on recurring quality issues.

  • Marketing and Installation Teams: to improve user manuals and assembly guides.

• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to improve post-installation experiences.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in performance process capabilities, inspection, and work audits.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication across all levels—both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in CAD data analysis, reading assembly/component drawings, and engineering specs.

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing processes.

• High attention to detail and passion for quality.
