What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Lead a team of engineers and QA professionals to build, operate, and maintain eCommerce technology solutions.

• Drive technical project planning and execution, while occasionally contributing hands-on.

• Partner with Product and Design to understand business needs, develop roadmaps, and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Manage project schedules, track progress, and drive tasks to completion.

• Ensure delivery commitments are met via effective sprint planning and daily standups.

• Implement and advocate for team-owned process improvements.

• Hire, mentor, and retain a top-performing engineering and QA team.

• Foster a strong team culture centered on inclusivity, ownership, quality, and excellence.

• Ensure team members have the required skills, and communicate performance results effectively.

• Conduct quality inspections, architecture/design/code/security reviews to maintain standards.

• Lead by example in documentation, clean coding, and professional conduct.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MCA).

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

• At least 2 years of experience managing a team of 5 or more people.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven experience working with senior leadership across product and engineering teams.

• Ability to lead the design and implementation of scalable and adaptable systems.

• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including:

  • Full end-to-end testing processes.

  • Test automation (Selenium, Cucumber, Java, etc.).

  • AI-based testing tools.

  • Coding standards, version control, CI/CD processes.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Java-based technologies.

• Microservices architecture.

• Cloud-native and distributed computing.

• Experience delivering products using cloud infrastructure.
