Full Job Description

Qualifications for Software Engineer:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a developer with recent web technologies.

• Strong working knowledge in:

  • Application development on LAMP stack

  • CSS, JSON, XML, REST API, JavaScript, jQuery

• Experience with:

  • OOPs design, design patterns, MVC architecture, RESTful services

  • Databases: MySQL, MongoDB

  • MVC frameworks: Zend, CakePHP, CodeIgniter

  • Caching layers: Memcached, Redis

  • CMS platforms: WordPress, Drupal, Joomla

  • E-commerce platforms: Magento, OsCommerce, BigCommerce

  • Development using social network APIs: Facebook, Twitter, Google+

Additional Qualifications for Senior Software Engineer:

(In addition to the Software Engineer requirements)

• Minimum 5 years of experience building back-end applications and designing/exposing web services via API.

• Familiarity with routine LAMP system administration tasks

• Strong system analysis and system design capabilities

• Experience in building scalable and performance-optimized applications

• Proven project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and as per specifications

Preferred/Bonus Skills (Jump the Interview Line If You Have):

• Experience with:

  • Node.js, Express.js

  • Mobile app development using PhoneGap

  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Compute Engine, Rackspace

  • Version control: SVN, Git

  • Continuous integration tools: Jenkins, Chef, Puppet

  • Project management tools: Asana, Jira
