ADAS Test Engineer – Chennai, Tamil Nadu

• 2+ years (for M.E/M.Tech)
• 4+ years (for B.E/B.Tech)

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution:

• Develop and execute test cases to validate system functionality, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Set up and calibrate various test track instruments, sensors, and vehicle prototypes to simulate real-world driving conditions, including emergency scenarios.
• Perform hands-on testing on closed test tracks, configuring ego vehicles, target vehicles, and dummy platforms using industry-specific tools.
• Capture and analyze log data from vehicle testing to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to set up End-of-Line (EOL) calibration and verification stations.
• Provide feedback for system enhancements based on real-world test results.
• Stay updated with the latest ADAS advancements, automotive safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that the design, development, and testing processes adhere to the highest quality standards.
• Define and implement Design Verification Plans (DVP) to validate system performance against requirements.

3. Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with vehicle network architecture, specifically Controller Area Network (CAN) and Ethernet.
• Utilize CAN and Ethernet tools for diagnostics, testing, and vehicle communication analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

???? Education:

• M.E/M.Tech/B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering.

???? Technical Skills:

• Programming languages: C, C++, CAPL.
• Vehicle network architecture: Strong understanding of CAN & Ethernet protocols.
• Tools & Software:
  • CAN & Ethernet tools: Vector CANalyzer, Canoe, Wireshark.
  • Testing methodologies: DVP and validation processes.
  • ADAS Systems: Sensors (cameras, radar), ECU, and algorithms.
  • ADAS Testing Platforms: ABD/4a platforms, Steering robots, CBAR robots.
