Job Title: Apparel Designer – Ethnic & Western Co-Ord Sets

Location: Hybrid – Wazir Pur III, Delhi, Delhi / Remote (Delhi-based preferred)
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Contractual (with potential for long-term)
Pay: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)
Schedule: Morning Shift | Day Shift

About the Brand – Mayborn

Mayborn is a contemporary co-ord set label that fuses Western design with Indian heritage and modest aesthetics. We focus on comfort, print-play, and silhouette simplicity, creating collections that bridge cultures without compromising on style.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design seasonal collections of co-ord sets including:

  • Ethnic-wear: kurta sets, peplum + sharara, angarakha wrap styles

  • Western-wear: crop shirts, wide-leg pants, kimono jackets, structured co-ords

• Collaborate with the founder on design direction, concept development, and lookbooks

• Create detailed technical sketches, flats, and tech packs

• Select prints, color palettes, fabrics, and trims

• Source or recommend cost-effective, breathable, and sustainable fabrics (e.g., cotton, rayon, muslin)

• Work with pattern masters and sampling units for sample development

• Iterate on designs based on feedback, focusing on fit, modesty, and functionality

• Track fashion trends, consumer behavior, and emerging silhouettes to influence designs

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree/diploma in Fashion Design or a related field

• 1–3 years of experience in women's apparel design (strong portfolios from freshers are welcome)

• Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools

• Knowledge of Indian garment styles and Western tailoring

• Detail-oriented in print coordination, color theory, and silhouette design

• Passionate about functional fashion that blends tradition with trend

• Comfortable in a startup environment with evolving workflows

• Strong communication and time-management skills
