Job Description: Design Manager

Location: Hybrid at Gurugram, Haryana, India

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee all phases of design projects, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring high standards and efficient use of resources.
Coordinate and lead a team of designers in creating visually compelling and functional designs, while ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
Conduct regular reviews and critiques of team members' work to provide constructive feedback and to foster skill enhancement and growth.
Act as the primary liaison between clients and design teams, ensuring clear communication, and that project requirements and deadlines are fully understood and met.
Stay abreast of developments in design tools and technologies, and implement best practices to maintain competitive edge and innovation within the design team.
Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining quality standards.
Facilitate the creation and management of design project schedules, ensuring timely delivery within budgetary constraints.
Foster a creative, collaborative, and professional work environment within the design team, promoting efficiency and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar senior design position with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creativity.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DMax, and V-Ray.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas effectively to all stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the latest trends, materials, and technological advancements in the design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the conceptualization and development of design projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and brand guidelines.
Mentor and guide junior designers, providing support and guidance to enhance their design capabilities.
Review and approve designs, artworks, photography, and graphics developed by junior designers, ensuring high quality and brand consistency.
Coordinate the design process across multiple projects to assure alignment with timelines and quality requirements.
Participate in recruiting and training new design staff, ensuring a high standard of creative output across the teams.
Work closely with marketing teams, clients, and external vendors to meet strategic and project goals.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Continuously assess design processes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and quality of output.
Ensure that design outputs meet applicable regulatory, compliance, and accessibility standards.
