Full job description

The Junior Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and coding patient health information for billing and insurance purposes. This entry-level role involves converting patient data into alphanumeric codes for efficient processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical coding standards (such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Coding Assignment:
• Review clinical documents to assign appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures using standard coding systems.
• Verify and ensure coding accuracy and compliance with current healthcare coding guidelines.
• Data Entry and Management:
• Accurately input coded data into medical billing and coding systems.
• Manage patient records, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity according to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Documentation Review:
• Assist in reviewing and organizing medical documentation, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of information prior to coding.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Qualification:

• Plus Two or any Degree
