Job Title: Consultant - Energy & Environment Advisory
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Hybrid Work)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹16,89,440 per year
The Energy & Environment Advisory team is tasked with guiding organizations through energy transition and sustainability goals. With domain expertise in Power & Energy, Environment & Water, Homes & Buildings, and Oil & Gas, our consultants deliver actionable plans for growth in existing and new markets.
You will be responsible for managing work modules or small projects (1-2 member teams), heading client teams, structuring analyses, and providing solutions that drive business growth. As a consultant, you'll also engage in business development tasks such as client pitches and proposals.
Project Fulfillment/Delivery: Oversee major strategic consulting engagements from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, cost management, primary research, and bespoke client solutions.
Industry Interaction: Lead primary research, conduct strategic discussions with industry players, and maintain a network of industry contacts.
Presentations: Interpret research data to prepare succinct reports/presentations for client meetings. Support leadership with materials for key interactions.
Domain Expertise: Act as an industry expert and trusted advisor for key clients.
Stakeholder Management: Ensure expectations are met, timelines are adhered to, and deliverables exceed client satisfaction.
Content Development: Create high-quality content with a global team of experts to deliver impactful customer experiences.
Degree in Engineering or Science (must-have).
Post-graduate qualification in management from a leading university is preferable.
3-5 years of prior consulting/lead analyst experience in a top consulting firm or research organization, or experience in internal strategic functions within large energy/environment companies.
Strong project management and business development skills.
Ability to mentor, train, and inspire a team of consulting professionals.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in Energy & Environment sectors:
Power Infrastructure & Utilities (Power Generation, Distributed Energy, Grids, etc.)
Building Technologies and Construction (Building Automation, HVAC, Facilities Management, etc.)
Environment and Sustainability (Climate Change, Water Treatment, Waste Management, etc.)
Oil & Gas (Upstream, LNG, Oil & Gas Services)
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Able to work independently with remote supervision.
Capable of multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.
Disciplined with high-quality standards.
