National Office – Analyst/Consultant, Engagement Financial Advisor
Deloitte's Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) team specializes in project and account operations, serving as a focal point for engagement, program, and account management control. EFAs provide engagement management knowledge for the entire project management team(s), assisting with initiating and controlling organizational and logistical aspects of projects. Their greatest value lies in their understanding and application of business and financial processes to both individual projects and client accounts.
The Deloitte Encore Program is designed for seasoned professionals who have been out of the workforce for 6 months to 4 years. This 16-week paid program offers a chance to enhance skills while gaining hands-on experience in a client service environment. Upon successful completion, there may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time role, based on business requirements.
As an Analyst, Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA):
Assist project leadership in managing revenue and margins, focusing on the cost of delivery.
Maintain compliance with clients' policies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis.
Help manage project billing and receivables process.
Monitor project performance, identify improvement areas, and communicate regularly with the project team, finance, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with other EFAs, including those in the USA.
As a Consultant, Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA):
Support one or more engagement teams through financial analysis and reconciliation processes.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and track financial metrics (e.g., revenue, expense).
Interact with senior internal and external clients to present analyses, discuss recommendations, and provide financial advice.
Track expenditures and manage client billing and receivable collections.
Manage project management office (PMO) tasks and contract management activities.
Understand and apply standard processes for project management, quality management, and risk management.
Contribute to EFA team growth through involvement in practice initiatives.
The EFA team within Deloitte Services LLP helps clients define their project needs and deliverables using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. The team produces realistic cost estimates for project phases, activities, and resources, ensuring that projects stay on track and within budget.
Experience: 2-6 years.
Education: B.A. / B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience in financial analysis.
Experience with MS Access and MS Project.
Post-graduate degree.
Work hours: 45+ hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed.
Hybrid working model with most professionals expected to reside near their office location.
Willingness to travel for client needs (most positions are in-office-based with limited travel).
