Job Title: Energy & Environment Advisory Consultant

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Hybrid Work)
Pay: ₹16,89,440 per year
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

The Energy & Environment Advisory team helps organizations navigate the challenges of energy transition and sustainability goals. With expertise in areas such as Power & Energy, Environment & Water, Homes & Buildings, and Oil & Gas, our consultants deliver actionable plans to fuel growth in both existing and new markets. You will take responsibility for managing client teams and structuring analyses to address critical client questions.

Responsibilities:

• Project Fulfillment / Delivery:
  Manage the delivery of strategic consulting engagements from inception to completion. This includes designing plans, managing costs, conducting primary research, and developing tailored client solutions.

• Industry Interaction:
  Lead industry research and engage in strategic discussions with industry participants. Networking within the industry is critical to success.

• Presentations:
  Interpret research data and findings to create succinct reports and presentations for client meetings. Support Partners and Business Unit leaders with materials for such interactions.

• Domain Expertise:
  Serve as an industry expert and trusted advisor for key clients. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.

• Collaboration:
  Work with a global team of experts to create a powerful customer experience and deliver high-quality content.

Required Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree in Engineering/Science (must have).

• Post-graduate qualification in Management from a leading university (preferable).

• 3-5 years of prior consulting or lead analyst experience in a top consulting firm, research organization, or internal strategic functions of large energy/environment companies.

• Experience with mega trends like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, New Business Models, and Automation, and their impact on traditional industries.

• Strong project management skills with prior experience mentoring, training, and inspiring a team of professionals.

• Advanced business relationship development skills and experience collaborating with sales teams to drive client business.

• Industry Knowledge:
  Familiarity with one or more of the following areas:

  • Power Infrastructure & Utilities (Power Generation, Distributed Energy, Grids, Energy Retail, Deregulation)

  • Building Technologies and Construction (Building Automation, HVAC, Facilities Management, Fire & Safety, Engineering & Construction)

  • Environment and Sustainability (Climate Change, Water Treatment, Waste Management & Recycling, Sustainability)

  • Oil & Gas (Upstream, LNG, Oil & Gas Services)
