Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hyperion Essbase Consultant to support a client transitioning their fiscal year to align with the calendar year. The role involves updating and modifying data connections, integrations, and reports to ensure compatibility with this structural change.

Project Background:

• The client currently uses on-premise Hyperion Essbase, integrated with Lawson ERP

• Around 8 cubes in use, with ongoing upgrades to improve automation

• Back-end environment includes SQL Server, SSIS, stored procedures, and VB/Excel-based integrations

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and modify data integration flows and reporting tools

• Maintain and enhance existing Essbase cubes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless data loading and reporting updates

• Troubleshoot and debug incorrect data issues across reports and data feeds

Required Technical Skills:

• Essbase Administration (ASO & BSO Cube calculations, cube management)

• SQL Server (writing complex queries, stored procedures)

• SSIS (designing and implementing ETL packages using Visual Studio)

• VB Script / VBA (particularly for Excel-based reporting)

• SmartView integration experience

• Data Drill-down, data loading, and debugging capabilities

Environment Exposure:

• Hyperion Essbase (on-premise)

• Lawson integration

• SQL Server databases

• Visual Studio (SSIS)

• Excel automation (VB/VBA)
