Work Profile:

As an Associate Director in the Consulting practice, you will lead project execution and client engagement in the Power and Energy sectors. You will play a key role in managing capital projects, driving business development, and delivering value-based solutions in complex project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

• Demonstrate advanced capital project management experience, specifically in Thermal Power or Energy sector projects.

• Lead and manage long-term, large-scale projects with a structured, result-oriented approach.

• Prepare project MIS, dashboards, and periodic progress reports.

• Implement governance processes and conduct regular reviews with client stakeholders.

• Analyze project performance and identify/resolve critical bottlenecks.

• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing project cost and timelines.

• Conduct productivity assessments and recommend performance improvements.

• Identify risks and define mitigation strategies.

• Support and mentor on-site project teams in project management and client relationship management.

Business Development

• Contribute to business development across Govt., private, and international markets.

• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.

• Establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership of existing and prospective clients.

Firm-Level Contributions

• Participate in internal initiatives including recruitment, branding, and digital platform development.

• Assist in the development and roll-out of digital project management platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience:
  8–15 years in executing capital projects in the Thermal Power or broader Energy sector.
  Prior experience with Big 4 firms, Accenture, or reputed technical consultants preferred.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and ownership of project deliverables

  • Effective communication and senior stakeholder engagement

  • Proven ability in business development and client relationship management

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous or uncertain project environments

Qualifications:

• B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (Tier 1 or Tier 2 college)

• Postgraduate qualification in MBA or Construction Management preferred

Location & Working Style:

• Base Locations: Delhi / Odisha / Kolkata / Bengaluru

• Travel: Frequent travel to client locations required
